Are you looking for a new challenge and working in a lovely outdoor environment. We are a small family business looking for a new team member to join us in our café which is part of Holden Farm Camping; an award-winning campsite in the South Downs National Park.

This small seasonal café is located on a working farm on the South Downs Way and King Alfred's Way, we will be providing a customer service oriented friendly café for campers, walkers, cyclists, runners and all those on an adventure in the great outdoors. Our mission is to create a welcoming outdoor experience with delicious local food and fabulous local coffee.

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about combining fresh air and great customer experience, who shows organisation and time keeping skills. To be successful in this role, being comfortable working under pressure in a fast paced, busy environment is key.

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual who has the personality, the work ethic and a passion to join our team.

What we are looking for:

  • Be able to work independently and also as part of a team to ensure the smooth running of the café

  • Confident, friendly, and outgoing character

  • Always deliver outstanding customer service

  • Maintain café standards

  • Identify opportunities to upsell to customers

  • Setting up and maintaining all service areas.

  • Taking customer orders.

  • Serving meals/drinks to customers.

  • Operating the coffee machine, blender and other cafe equipment etc.

  • Assist in the provision of a first-class experience for all guests across both the camping and café.

  • Assisting campsite reception including checking in guests; ensuring site is clean and tidy (amenity building and camping field).

  • Provide information to guests on local tourist attractions, walking/cycling routes and places to eat (local knowledge a bonus).

  • This is a varied and interesting role which would suit a trustworthy, enthusiastic, flexible and reliable person who possesses excellent customer service and communication skills, a can-do attitude and a sense of humour!

    Experience in catering / customer service roles is advantageous.

  • Level 2 Food Hygiene Training is desirable but not essential.

  • Own transport is essential.

  • Weekend working hours required.

  • Previous experience is not essential but advantageous, you'll also need to be energetic & physically active.
