Full Job Description

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Wedding and Events Coordinator to join our team at Rowton Hall Hotel and Spa.

You will come from a Hotel background within a similar country house hotel setting.

The role will require flexible working hours due to the nature of the business, allowing you to have maximum impact on all external sales opportunities.

Role Description:

To co-ordinate Events and Wedding requirements of the guests & team from the initial enquiry and throughout the planning process to completion

· Reporting to the Senior Wedding & Events Coordinator

· To maximise the business opportunities in respect of conference, events and weddings, ensuring perfect planning to allow the operational team to deliver smooth running of each event in line with company, business objectives and customer requirements

· To ensure that all social & corporate functions and events are planned using agreed procedures between departments and ensuring "best practice"

· To help maximise the efficiency of the hotel facilities

· Handle enquiries, checking availability and deciding whether it is the right piece of business at the right time and the right price

· Diary management / Function sheet management

· Respond to enquiries within the time frame agreed

· Explore all up-selling opportunities throughout the sales process

· Arrange and conduct inspection visits for potential customers, advising the appropriate departments of requirements

· After sales care including completion of event summary feedback

· Attend wedding fayre's, open days and exhibitions relevant to business needs

· Support the General Manager and sales team in creating and nurturing relationships with all key existing and new accounts, to ensure the hotel is the preferred choice in Chester and the surrounding area

· Must have a solid & proven Wedding and Event planning knowledge and ideally you will come from a Hotel background within a similar role

· Excellent, concise and professional telephone manner essential

· Must possess exceptional communication skills

· Good computer skills

· Must have ability to meet deadlines

· Immaculate personal appearance

· Strong administrative skills

· Ability to work in a pressurised environment

· Must be self-motivated, whilst understanding the importance of working as part of a team

· A positive, energetic and outgoing personality is essential,
