Area of responsibility

To lead, manage and motivate a team of staff in a designated Section within warehouse to deliver key performance targets, safely, effectively and efficiently to meet the required customer and technical standards in a way which is consistent with DC UK values and behaviours.

Specific tasks

Each employee should always use his own common sense in connection with the role and take responsibility for what is best for Danish Crown.

Ensure all staff wear correct PPE including ear protection, clothing, cutting gloves and shoes.

· Ensure all team comply with the food and hygiene requirements at all times.

· Ensure team operate within the Company health and safety standards at all times and that workstations are kept clean and tidy at all times.

· Lead investigations into any accidents or near misses in your Section and take appropriate action to resolve and mitigate risk.

· Report any hazards or machine problems immediately to your Manager and support resolution as appropriate.

· Delivery of the key performance targets for your designated Section.

· Ensure Good standards of General Manufacturing Practice and that the Section is audit ready at all times.

· Continuously review and identify ways to improve efficiency and yields and reduce labour costs and waste whilst maintaining quality and technical standards.

· Delivery of product using the production plans, with an awareness of priorities and scheduling.

· Contribute to Departmental and Site improvement projects as required.

· Develop profit improvement plans .

Educational background & Relevant experience

· IOSH beneficial

· Food safety level 2 (advantageous)

· HACCP level 2 (preferred)

· Experience in stock taking essential

· Previous supervisory experience (3 years)

· Knowledge of WMS systems
