Full Job Description

The position will be within our Logistics division supporting our fast growing and multi service warehouse operations.

Overall Purpose of the Role: Ensures the safe and efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of warehouse materials, goods and products to fulfil business operations and customer demand.

Rolling shift pattern: Monday - Friday from 06:00 to 15:00/ 14:00- 10:00

Night shift: 22:00-06:00

Key Responsibilities:

· General Warehouse duties.

· Take delivery of goods and supplies accurately and on time.

· Load and dispatch goods accurately and on time.

· Check for damaged or missing items on arrivals and departing goods.

· Store goods appropriately and capture locations accordingly.

· Pick and pack orders for dispatch.

· Move stock around either by hand, using lifting equipment or a forklift truck

· Input data regarding vehicle information accurately on live dashboard.

· Carry out stock counts as and when required.

· Keep paperwork up to date and ensure once processed given to relevant personnel.

· Ensure that all lifting and maneuvering of product is carried out in accordance with manual handling procedures

· Operate in a safe manner complying with all health, safety and environmental requirements to ensure own and safety and that of others

· Handle any hazardous materials in an appropriate manner

· Keep areas of work clean and tidy to ensure operational efficiency

· Self-management on time keeping for standard hours and overtime.

· Work in a safe manner and comply with the Health, Safety and Environmental Policies

· Team player with a positive effect on the mood and morale.

Skills and Attributes:

· Must have counterbalance license, ideally a flexi.

· Able to work well as part of a team

· Ability to work accurately and methodically

· Good numeracy and IT skills

· Good communication skills

· Ability to plan and organise work

· Ability to accurately complete paperwork and count stock items

· An understanding of health and safety requirements

· Flexible approach to duties and tasks

· Good understanding of customer deliverables and the impact of failure / cost of poor quality

· Consistently manages the task in hand.

· Shows moral courage, openness and honesty and has a collaborative approach when dealing with others

Qualifications and Experience Levels: Current FLT Licence, GCSEs level D-G, Key Skills Level 1, NVQ Level 1, International Vocational Certificate (IVQ).

We are a freight forwarding company based at the London Gateway Logistics Park, in a brand-new office complex with parking facilities. The business is family owned and operates on an international platform. Due to the location being able to drive is essential as we are not easily accessible by public transport.
