Full Job Description

We're looking for a warehouse operative to join us at our Meltham manufacturing site. This role is to ensure fabric for customer orders is picked, processed and dispatched accurately, efficiently and safely to maintain high levels of customer service and satisfaction. To ensure fabric rolls are relocated to the warehouse correctly, timely and safely adhering to working practices for smooth running of the warehouse function.,

  • Ensure that fabric is correctly located and picked from warehouse locations, maintaining accuracy within the Warehouse and fulfilling customer orders.

  • Operate the cutting tables making sure all fabric is processed and dealt with accurately, following range specific requirements and timely to maintain high standards of customer satisfaction.

  • Ensure the end product is loaded onto the correct pallet/stillage to ensure this is then dispatched via the correct carrier to the correct customer.

  • Assist within the loading bay to make sure that all incoming and outgoing products are correctly processed from all types of carriers.

  • Partake in cyclical stocktakes to ensure the warehouse maintain stock accuracy.

  • Ensure that the highest quality is maintained by monitoring the items that are being dispatched.

    Previous warehousing experience and using bar code systems would be an advantage

  • Previous experience of working on MRP/ERP packages' or a similar system would be an advantage

  • Experience of operating a forklift or picker truck would be an advantage

  • Experience of working in a busy environment

  • Understanding and appreciation of Health and Safety practices in the workplace

  • Additional requirements
  • Ability to carry out manual handling tasks on as daily basis, Warehouse experience: 2 years (required)

    Week 1 - 6am to 3pm (Monday to Thursday) and 6am to 2.30pm (Friday)
