Warehouse Operative

We are recruiting for Warehouse Operative to be based at Hairdressing Supplies Warehouse in Witham St Hugh's. As a Warehouse Operative you are required to work in all areas of the warehouse, ensuring orders are processed accurately and efficiently meeting the demands of operational requirements whilst maintaining highest safety standards for the site. Providing information to the Manager to ensure orders are processed correctly throughout the operation, as well as conducting inventory counting and receipt of deliveries. You will also ensure that all received materials are accurately processed in a timely manner.

What are my responsibilities?

· Process orders and deliveries through various sales channels, and receipt of goods whilst maintaining fully auditable records within company warehouse management system (WMS)

· Maintain a safe, clear and clean environment ensuring all procedures are adhered to. Including equipment maintenance and reporting findings to your line manager on a weekly basis

· Report stock anomalies.

· Contribute to team performance metrics.

· Behave with flexibility to support operational requirements whilst maintaining integrity of procedural requirements.

· Attend and contribute to weekly team meetings.

· Control and secure work area, inventory and work equipment.

· Support new initiatives and improvement projects and play a proactive role in effective implementation.

· Seek improvements to processes, communicate with other departments to ensure smooth, efficient operations.

· Apply high standards of personal conduct and deportment, and be safety conscious whilst at work.

• Solid warehousing/logistics background· Fully conversant with inventory management principles in a diverse fast moving product environment


• Attention to detail when completing tasks


• Forklift License would be beneficial


• Self motivated with capabilities to complete tasks accurately adhering to tight deadlines


• Dynamic individual who can deliver in a pressurized environment.


• Manual Handling training certification. Must be able to lift and move boxes of up to 20kg


• Ability to communicate confidently with all stakeholders and colleagues.


• Proactive approach to problem solving.

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary (may lead to a permanent position and progression ) Normal working hours are 40 hours per week Monday - Friday 9-5pm however the business operates within the flexible hours of 7-7pm which we may require you to work from time to time based on business requirements.
