Full Job Description

Oakley House are pleased to be recruiting a waking night support worker for our residential children's home in Maidstone which provides care & support for 4 young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties.

Applicants will be experienced in working with children with emotional, behavioural and social difficulties, mental health problems and /or complex needs between the ages of 8 and 18.

Candidates applying for this role would ideally have previous experience within the field and NVQ Level 3 Children and Young People, however training will be offered for the right candidates

You will be required to work in partnership with the local/placing authorities, parents or carers and other agencies.

Job purpose:

  • To provide day to day care of children and young people within an environment of pro-social learning that promotes positive attachments and relationships and supporting young people throughout the night if required.


  • To support young people in maximising their potential in a safe and caring environment


  • To achieve the highest standard of service delivery as measured by Ofsted against the Children's Homes National Minimum Standards

    At least 1 year recent experience in a relevant field
