Full Job Description

The Compensation Team is responsible for promoting our Pay for Performance philosophy which directly connects individual, business and company results to employee compensation.

As a Compensation Partner in the EMEA Compensation Team, you will provide stakeholder engagement, strategic analysis, planning and operational execution excellence supporting a large and diverse client base across the region.

As a member of the Compensation Team at BlackRock, you will work with a global team of professionals in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. The role will support a variety of stakeholders to deliver effective solutions and advise on all aspects of BlackRock's compensation programs.,

  • Become a trusted partner, providing strategic and analytical support for the design and administration of global and regional compensation programs, working with various stakeholders across the business, including senior leaders and partners across HR.

  • Partner with HR colleagues to provide compensation proposals and advice.

  • Utilise market data and HRIS intelligence to analyse, interpret and present compensation benchmarks and proposals.

  • Support the regional annual planning, preparation, and process of allocating the corporate bonus pool and base salary budget at year-end.

  • Report on compensation trends, outcomes and provide insights through the year end compensation process.

  • Deliver compensation-related training to HR colleagues and key stakeholders as required.

  • Independently navigate through a variety of complex problems by leveraging deep relationships with stakeholders.

  • Additional duties will include supporting the development and implementation of other firm-wide and business-specific initiatives.

    Bachelor's degree (or equivalent).

  • Compensation experience or related field desired (financial services and/or consulting experience preferred):

  • + Familiarity with pay structures in different jurisdictions across the EMEA region, and experience of gender reporting will be beneficial.
    + Experience with Human Resources Information Systems (e.g., Workday, Oracle, etc.) preferred.
  • Extraordinary communication and stakeholder management skills:

  • + Ability to convey complex concepts simply to various audiences in a professional, persuasive, credible and succinct manner.
    + High level of business acumen with the ability to identify the most commercial response in any given situation.
    + Demonstrates discretion in handling confidential information.
  • Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills:

  • + Advanced proficiency with MS Excel required - e.g. nested "if" statements, formatting, analysing large quantities of data, etc.
    + Attention to detail with high degree of accuracy and efficient whilst being able to see the bigger picture.
  • Strong project and time management skills, with an emphasis on being organized, detail-oriented, deadline-driven.

  • Possesses a self-starter work ethic yet thrives in a collaborative environment.

  • Ability to navigate through ambiguity and remain flexible and adaptable amidst change.
