Full Job Description

Deefab Ltd., is a successful family-run business specialising in high quality bespoke adaptation of commercial vehicles, and working closely with clients to produce tailor made solutions to their business needs for over 20 years., Due to increased demand, Deefab Ltd. is seeking an experienced ply liner to join the team to undertake the lining of commercial vehicles as described here:

  • Using your joinery and fitting skills, you will carry out fitting of pre cut lining kits into commercial vehicles in line with agreed timescales, working proactively under minimal supervision.

  • You will be proficient in the safe use of relevant joinery, fitting and workshop tools including jig saws, wall saws, table saws, chop saw and drills.

  • Working predominantly in wood and related materials initially, there is scope to develop skills in a wider range of materials, once a proven track record is established.

  • You will need to cut accurately, measure precisely, and create templates meticulously, to create bespoke work to exacting quality standards.

  • You will communicate effectively with team members, and if needed, clients too.

  • You will work effectively in cooperation with and in support of a close-knit, hard-working team, balancing your personal task needs with those of the business as a whole.

  • You will need the commitment and tenacity to work alone to deliver projects from start to finish.

  • The role is workshop and field based, with some requirement to work off site as required, therefore a valid, clean driving license is essential.

  • Working within appropriate Health and Safety regulations you will ensure the environment, property and occupants are safe and secure at all times.

  • You will be able to safely meet the physical demands of the job: fitting plywood panels into vehicles will require lifting of sheet material, continuous kneeling within sometimes confined areas.

  • You will be willing to learn and listen to feedback, continuously seeking to improve your work.

  • You will be energetic and welcome the challenge of developing further specialised skills over time.

  • You must be able to fill in any paperwork requirements to record progress and completion of jobs.

  • Applicants may also be required to carry out tasks for other team members so flexibility is essential.
