WHAT TO EXPECT

This is an exciting opportunity to join an expanding team that contributes to the management of Vehicle EMC sign off.

The successful candidate will be involved in the full product lifecycle, from concept to end of volume production and will play a key part in ensuring all JLR vehicles meet the necessary legislative, corporate requirements and quality attributes.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Understanding of program content and vehicles required to ensure all components and configurations are tested to JLR standards.

  • Selection of requirements and planning of tests against to meet appropriate engineering gateways.

  • Production of test plans for vehicle chamber and test engineers to complete the necessary testing.

  • Planning of workshop activities to get vehicles fit for test once delivered from Pilot Build.

  • EMC Engineering assistance into package reviews to minimise potential EMC and other issues.

  • Specify and plan vehicle level EMC assessments based on programme content.

  • Ensure a robust EMC sign-off (at component and vehicle level) and ensure that radio reception (customer satisfaction) is not compromised.

  • Evaluating test results.

  • Resolving vehicle EMC issues.

  • Assisting the owners of non-compliant components to complete vehicle evaluations which enable component sign off.

    Relevant previous experience in a similar electromagnetic compatibility engineering role

  • Understanding of EMC theory and design principles, and experience of practical implementation

  • EMC test experience (automotive)

  • Programme management experience

  • Full and Clean Driving Licence
