Variable Speed Drive Field Service Engineer

We are actively seeking an highly skilled and experienced Variable Speed Drive (VSD) Field Service Engineers to join our dynamic and growing marine and offshore service team. In this crucial role, successful candidates will leverage their expertise to provide comprehensive field services related to variable speed drive systems. Your responsibilities will span commissioning, troubleshooting, servicing, and retrofitting of VSDs. Joining our team means becoming an integral part of an expanding service division dedicated to ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of marine and offshore systems. Your contribution will play a vital role in our commitment to delivering top-tier service and excellence in the maritime and offshore industry., The role will include, but not be limited to the following activities:

• Fault finding, repair (to component level) and reactivation of all types of LV and MV drives and their ancillary equipment, both air and liquid cooled


• Procurement of spares and service work planning and scheduling


• Planned maintenance, overhaul, upgrades and retrofits


• Commissioning and setting to work of new and upgraded drive system installations


• Modifications to existing installations


• Close collaboration with our electrical and control systems design department to plan, design and deliver both new and retrofit solutions in marine propulsion and auxiliary plant, offshore production systems and offshore construction mission equipment


• Training and mentoring of other personnel
  
  Extensive experience in commissioning, servicing, repair, and retrofit of marine LV and MV Drives


• Familiarity with drives from manufacturers like ABB, Siemens, Danfoss (Vacon), GE (Converteam)


• Preferably, candidates have manufacturer training


• A full clean driving licence is mandatory.


• Flexibility and autonomy.


• BOSIET training provided for offshore assignments.


• Must be prepared to travel internationally at short notice.
