Van Driver

Block and Cleaver are high end production butchers that supply a range of customers across London. These include premier hotels, restaurants, event caterers, golf courses, gastro pubs, etc.

Due to recent growth we are seeking reliable and experienced van drivers to join our busy team.

As a member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for transporting and delivering packed meats and related products in our refrigerated vans to our various customers. The runs consists of up to approximately 25 drops per day.

You will have a regular route and be allocated a permanent van from our modern fleet of 72 and 73 plate vehicles.

You will load your own van in the mornings, putting the run in route order, thus making the deliveries easier for yourself. Products are in stackable crates and must be line checked against the supplied loading sheet as loaded onto the vehicle. Full training will be provided and this includes going out with an existing driver on the route.

45 hours per week over 6 days.

Monday to Saturday.

Mon-Fri 8hr plus unpaid break, Sat morning 5hr plus unpaid break.

Start times range between 04:00 and 05:30 depending on the allocated route.

24 days paid holiday plus Bank holidays.

Uniform supplied after probation period.

The salary of £30,000 is a starting rate.

After the probation period of 3 months the salary increases to £30,500. Salary is structured and increases as more routes are learnt.
