Full Job Description

This post is offered at ST3+ level and will start in August 2024. The successful candidates will be working with the Consultant Foot and Ankle Orthopaedic Surgeon in foot and ankle surgery and will include elective and trauma operating and clinic work., The appointee will function at registrar level and participate in middle grade on call rota for the department.

The appointee will be required to assist in the supervision, teaching, training, and monitoring of more junior doctors and the teaching and training of medical students.

The appointee will have delegated responsibility for all the patients under the care of their consultant / team. He/she will refer to the Consultant when problems arise which are beyond his/her authority and/or experience.

The appointee must maintain liaison with colleagues who are on duty immediately before and after

It is the responsibility of the appointee to ensure that the Trauma service is managed promptly and effectively.
