Transport Vehicle Technician

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Police Transport Department is looking for highly motivated vehicle technicians to join our team. The staff, officers and volunteers of Hampshire and Isle of Wight Police are here so that the people we serve, their families and our communities are safer. To deliver our quality public service, it is vital we can call upon our dynamic Police Fleet. The successful candidate will maintain the Police Fleet by Inspecting and maintaining vehicles. Providing critical and technical support to the front line service of Hampshire Constabulary. We currently have a vacancy at our Basingstoke workshop (RG24 8QU) which is easily accessible from the M3, where your vehicle maintenance and repair skills will be used to ensure the fleet is kept fully operational. You will be required to work on a variety of fleet vehicles, which currently includes high performance cars, vans, motorbikes, even boats and other equipment. As well as undertaking servicing and repairs and vehicle road
tests, you will be required to carry out basic vehicle fits to ensure they are ready for police use. As part of the role you will get opportunities to support local and national events like the upcoming D-Day celebrations.

Scale 5, £31,789 - £33,874 per annum including £4,000 market supplement
