Full Job Description

In this role you will oversee the de-briefing of all day shift drivers who return to the depot after their shift, including checking paperwork is filled in, all issued items are returned and data is entered into the relevant spreadsheets. You will also be the first point of contact for night shift drivers at the start of their shift to ensure they have all relevant paperwork and items to complete their shift. The key skill in this role is communication with returning drivers, ensuring specific questions are asked and specific tasks have been carried out.,

  • Act as the first point of contact between drivers and the office operation when a driver returns to site. Ensuring you ask a specific set of questions and retrieve a number of items (such as paperwork, keys, phone etc.)

  • Responsible for checking driver paperwork at the point of their return and entering details into a spreadsheet as well as various other administration tasks such as scanning and uploading paperwork as and when required

  • Ensure all IT based tasks are completed at specific times such as system imports & exports and label printing

  • Put together drivers' manifests and paperwork for the following day once the plan is completed each day

  • Support the Late Shift Supervisor with any reasonable required tasks

  • Assist in supporting with day to day driver, warehouse and customer queries and issues, including answering the phone, emails and system messages

  • Follow the night shift plan to explain to night shift drivers what their roles are for the day and ensure they have the relevant paperwork and equipment to do so

  • Ensure compliance to all legislation for Health & Safety is upheld

    Experience working in a transport operation and knowledge of the logistics industry is essential

  • Ability to adapt to changes to meet the demands placed on Miniclipper by our customers

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential

  • Experience of using various IT systems and ability to quickly learn new systems


  • Technical competencies
  • Previous administrative and transport experience is preferred

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft packages e.g. Outlook, Excel & Word

  • Adaptable IT skills

  • Experience in using TMS systems is preferrable
