Full Job Description

It's an exciting time for growth here at ARO and as a result we have an opportunity for a Project Manager to join us on a 12 month FTC, focussing on transformation and integration internally.

You will be instrumental in managing projects that enable ARO to deliver its long-term business goals. You will be responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and execution of projects that relate to the integration of acquired businesses, and transformational change across the group. Working closely with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external partners, you will ensure that projects are delivered on time and budget, using agreed project governance, and meet the defined objectives.

Please note that this role will need to be based in the South West and integrations in the next 12 months will be in Cardiff, Leeds and Macclesfield so travel will be required with time at the relevant site to support the integration.
What you'll do

Project Management:

  • Project manage the integration of acquired businesses on common processes and systems.

  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and achieving the planned objectives.

  • Develop project plans, including initiation documentation, schedule as well as ongoing monitoring and progress tracking.

  • Manage changes to project scopes, schedules, and dependencies across a portfolio of projects.

  • Identify and mitigate project risks and issues. Report and escalate issues as needed.

  • Operate project communications plan covering workstreams, stakeholders, governance, and wider business.

  • Manage weekly project tracking and progress calls.

  • Manage lessons learnt and project closure.

  • Maintain accurate project documentation.


  • Team Collaboration and Communication:
  • Foster collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and effective execution of strategic initiatives.

  • Establish and maintain relationships with internal collaborators and stakeholders

  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation.

    Experience of the application of the governing principals of project management methodology, such as PRINCE2, in a structured manner.

  • More than 2 years project leadership of Implementing process and systems change management; engagement, communications, training, and driving adoption.

  • Broad operational understanding of business process functions: marketing, sales, onboarding, service management, HR, finance, billing, process improvement, systems development.

  • Recognised project management accreditation (e.g., PMP).

  • Competent user of MS Office suite, and a project planning tool such as MS Project.

  • More than 3 years of change management experience.

  • Experience of acting as a coach and change champion to help colleagues ensure the success of their transformational initiatives.

  • Experience of integrating acquired businesses.

  • IT service provider environment.
