Full Job Description

SUMMARY: As a trainee member of the Offshore team, this role will learn to safely and effectively undertake offshore and onshore Rig Cooling operational activities. You will deliver safe, efficient, and excellent quality work, and learn how to provide exceptional service to both internal and external clients.

This role will attend offshore as part of the Rig Cooling team to install and operate rig cooling systems. The role will become familiar with the Company's equipment and services through on-the-job training and learn to adhere to all safety and management procedures.

When onshore, the role supports the Workshop Manager as required with load outs, servicing of equipment and other yard activities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (including but not limited to the following):

· Act upon instructions and deliver upon tasks assigned by the Operations department.

· Learn to safely and effectively install and operate complete Rig Cooling systems (Electrical and mechanical pumps, surface pump operation, hoses and metalwork etc).

· Learn to safely and effectively support both offshore and onshore activities within the Company's inventory.

· When offshore, ensure equipment inventories are completed (pre- and post- operations)

· Support onshore operations by assisting the warehouse personnel with the servicing and maintenance of equipment, equipment load outs and any other activities as required.

· Learn to recognise opportunities to continuously improve quality of service to our clients.

· Collect equipment operating data

· Participate in and assist with internal, external and Client audits as required.

· Commit to training provided onshore and offshore and comply with corporate training programs.

· Learn to actively participate in Toolbox Talks

· Become familiar and/or proficient with:

· Infrared Temp Gun Operation

· Isothermal Meter Operation

· Sound Meter Operation

· Thermal Radiation Awareness

· Valves and Fittings awareness

HSEQ

· Understand and comply with TETRA and customer QHSE standards, policies, and procedures

· Be aware of and actively promote TETRA Life Saving Rules and CORE values.

· Actively promote best work practice for quality and HSE

· Show commitment and accountability with regards to continuous improvement, innovation and lessons learned.

· Encourage and nurture a positive work ethos and opportunities for worker consultation and participation

· Implement stop work authority as necessary, participate and contribute observations in support of incident investigations, internal audits, site inspections and Behavior Based/HR Reporting objectives.

  • A minimum of Secondary School Education.

  • Numerate and literate.

  • Be computer-literate to Beginner level in MS Word, Excel and Outlook Email packages as a minimum.

  • Offshore rig experience preferred but not essential.

  • Offshore Survival & MIST Course certification desirable but not essential.

  • A clean and current driving license is preferred.

  • Even when working under guidelines of a more senior operator/supervisor, take a pro-active role, think ahead, foresee issues/next tasks/equipment requirements - don't wait to be told

  • Have good written and spoken communication skills., GCSE or equivalent (required)
