Trainee Engineer to work in a busy machine shop

Isothermal Technology Ltd (Isotech) are an established manufacturer and supplier of specialist Temperature Measuring Equipment and Calibration Services based in Southport.,

• The suitable applicant will be required to work with Centre lathes, programmable milling machines (CNC), CNC mills, welders and gas brazing.


• They will need to be confident and able to work closely to drawings/specifications to produce machined parts with the minimum of supervision following the training period


• Be able to use their own initiative, work in a small team, have a friendly and positive working attitude and able to take instruction/guidance from the Production Engineer or Manager


• Maintaining a high standard of housekeeping and safe working practices having due regard to the Company's Health and Safety policy.


• Liaising, as required with other personnel and departments.

We are seeking a Trainee Engineer to join our team. As a Trainee Engineer, you will receive hands-on training and mentorship to develop your skills in safely and sustainably manufacture dry block inserts and custom machined calibration blocks. This is a full-time role, while full training will be offered, this is a varied role therefore the ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate an eye for detail with a methodical approach to your work, be able to work to targets in a fast-paced environment handling dirty and oily parts, and adept at working with hand tools.
