Based in Medway (ME2 2AH) as a Trainee Engineer, you will be an important part of depot operations and a key player in keeping the workshop productive meaning equipment is always available for our customers to ensure their experience with us is positive and we continue to be the best hire company in the industry. You will commence an apprenticeship in September 2024
You will take part in our structured training programme. During this time you will be trained by our knowledgeable and experienced colleagues along with attending block placements with our college provider.
Programme Overview:
Completion of a Level 2 Land Based Service Engineer apprenticeship standard and associated End Point Assessment (EPA)
Completion of Level 3 Land Based Service Engineer Technician apprenticeship standard and associated End Point Assessment (EPA)
When you are not in college completing your formal qualifications, you will be based in Medway full time learning from our experienced engineers and practicing your skills ready to be signed off as a fully qualified engineer at the end of training.

  • Are ambitious, driven and willing to learn and develop

  • Are comfortable attending block learning placements at other sites in the country and learning both on the job and in a classroom/practical learning environment

  • Are comfortable from being away from home for 1 week per month during term time

  • Have a natural interest in machinery, mechanics and electrics

  • Can be team players

  • Adapt to a fast paced working environment

  • Show good communication skills

  • Ability to support your team to deliver our ESG Strategy - Decade to Deliver.


  • This role would be particularly suitable for school leavers or those who have recently left school as it is an entry level position.
    Please note that you must hold a Level 2 equivalent or GCSE Grade 4/Grade C or above in English and Mathematics in order to be considered for this apprenticeship.
