Full Job Description

As a Trainee Advanced Clinical Practitioner you will work clinically across a variety of clinical settings such as the Emergency Department, acute admissions areas and medical wards. You will build on your already extensive experience and knowledge with the support of a clinical supervisor. A fully funded Masters course at a local university will be an essential part of your development. You will develop the skills knowledge and behaviors to align with the HEE ACP framework. As roles become available you will be offered the opportunity to specialise and complete your training in a particular field, or complete your generic training in readiness for a new role as an ACP. This role is open to both NMC and HCPC registrants with relevant experience, You will work closely with medical teams, learning the skills of consultation, history taking, clinical examination, diagnostic reasoning, and the safe management of emergency and long term conditions.

Our new strategy, developed with the support and feedback of colleagues, patients, and partners, is our compass for the next seven years (2023-2030).

We have four primary goals:

  • high-quality care for all,

  • being a great place to work,

  • partnerships for impact, and

  • research and education excellence

  • And we will embed health equality in all we do - taking active steps to reduce the avoidable differences in healthcare that some people face, working in partnership with communities.

Our strategy is underpinned by new values and we will work to ensure they are an everyday reality for all:
  • we are compassionate,

  • we are proud,

  • we are inclusive, and

  • we are one team

  • This is an exciting moment as we look to the future with clarity on what we already do well and where we need to focus our energies to make an even bigger difference for the people we serve.
