Trainee Advanced Clinical Practitioner

During training, the tACP will be supported to attend and complete MSc study, 20% of which will be off the job training. On qualification, the post holder will deliver an 80% clinical component to their role. 20% will be related to clinical professional development underpinned by the advanced practice framework. Clinical professional development; Supervised Clinical support, appraisal, clinical audit, teaching, self-development and research allocation will be individualised & time allocation will be directed by an agreed job plan & in alignment with departmental Advanced Practice framework & progression pathway agreed. The post-holder will ideally be clinically experienced. They will exercise high levels of judgement, discretion and decision making in clinical care. They will ensure person-centred care and family carer collaboration. As appropriate, the promotion and maintenance of independence, health and wellbeing will be undertaken.
