Full Job Description

To establish high standards of pre/ peri and post-operative clinical care.
To contribute to the delivery of high standards of practice in all aspects of the service and in clinical skills.
To coordinate clinical activities and develop clinical expertise through leadership.
To assist in the smooth running and organization of the shift team.
To rotate through the Ophthalmology Department.
To ensure high quality patient care is delivered and take appropriate steps if this is not the case.
To participate in the delivery and organization of formal and informal teaching.
To participate in activities/ projects which contribute to the provision and delivery of evidence- base practice.
To provide health education and advice.

We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic, and hard-working person to work in our ophthalmology theatres. You must be a registered nurse and an excellent communicator as you will have everyday contact with multi-professional colleagues where results and positive achievements will be crucial. Exceptional personal and organisational qualities are key attributes in this role.The ability to supervise and coach staff will also be necessary, as will a focus to delivering the highest standards of care and service to our patients.
