Test Manager

As a Test Manager, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll have the opportunity to play a key role in supporting the Royal Navy's applications to ensure timely software deliveries and quality assurance.

Day-to-day, you'll lead and manage our software testing team and help us continue to grow our business and contribute to our goal as well as:

• Leading the planning, design, execution, and reporting of tests to ensure that software meets quality standards


• Collaborating and partnering with other stakeholders, such as development managers, project managers, and business analysts and service team to ensure that testing aligns with project goals and objectives, and drive the test execution for quarterly releases and project delivery


• Driving the collection of information and the creation of recommendations/roadmap for continuous improvements in the testing function


• Creating a test strategy that defines the goals, scope, and approach to testing across functional, performance and automation testing


• Designing and executing a wide range of testing techniques and communicate test results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders


This role is full time, thirty-five hours per week and requires regular travel to Leicester and Plymouth on a monthly basis alongside home working arrangements.

Essential experience of the Test Manager

• Software Test Manager with significant test management experience


• Exposure to testing of custom application, commercial off the shelf enterprise applications, integration, Application Programming Interfaces (API), backend and performance testing


• Demonstrate a good working knowledge Azure DevOps, Test Rail, Selenium, and can train others on testing techniques and frameworks


• Hands on experience writing test strategies, test cases, evaluating scripts, and putting them to use


• Expert in adjusting to shifting priorities and deadlines


• The ability to adapt testing tactics and plans to new situations and perform efficiently


Qualifications for the Test Manager

• Education to A-level standard


• Degree preferred
