Tendering Engineer

As a part of that growth, we are now looking for a Tendering Engineer to join our team, as a Tendering Engineer, you will be responsible for managing new enquiries from tender to proposal, ensuring compliance with specifications, whilst generating accurate budgets for construction. In addition, you will collaborate with the wider Commercial Team to assist in securing the contract for the design and construction of the new grid connection and/or the balance of plant for new projects.

As a Tendering Engineer, your duties will include:

· Review incoming enquiries/ITTs/RFQs and enter key project information into the CRM.

· Liaising closely with the Head of Tendering, the internal design team, and directly with clients to ensure a specification-compliant bid is submitted.

· Assess client-identified development sites and utilise desktop tools to identify any clear obstacles, engineering difficulties and/or obstructions along proposed cable routes.

· Generate SLDs and GLAs and sending RFQs to suppliers and subcontractors.

· Maintain and update various cost schedules.

· Excellent understanding of Microsoft packages (Word, Excel and ideally Projects).

· Competently interpret installation manuals, data sheets, SLDs and diagrams.

· A keen attention to detail when reviewing Employer requirements and specifications.

· A good understanding of AutoCAD with experience generating SLDs and Gas (preferred, not essential).

· HND or degree in electrical engineering or related discipline. (preferred, not essential).

· £32k - £45 depending on experience (we are open to both junior and senior level candidates)
