Full Job Description

Technical systems manager will be part of the central support services team, working in collaboration to ensure that our properties are managed in accordance with regulatory requirements, current standards and industry best practice.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • One of the main objectives within the role will be carrying out the audit process of the company's fire alarm safety manual logbooks across the commercial and retail assets.


  • To provide technical assistance to the head of the technical systems department and technical systems managers in the day-to-day operation of the technical systems department.


  • To provide assistance in ensuring the correct operation of the following systems: electronic security systems, system networks, fire alarms and electronic life safety systems.


  • To assist and advise on new property developments with regards to system type, equipment manufacturers, design and inspect systems upon completion / hand-over.


  • The role will require travelling to remote sites as well as participating in other central support services team activities, such as presentations, preparing reports, costing, environmental & energy management duties, preparation of business case proposals, projects, budgeting and any other reasonable duties that may be required by the head of technical systems / head of technical services and sustainability


  • Key responsibilities
  • Carryout the auditing of the company fire safety manual and logbooks making sure all records and defects are documented correctly.


  • Assist in the preparation / amending of maintenance specification documents for specialist sub-contractor contracts.


  • Assist in the supervision of specialist supplier contracts with regards to the electronic security systems maintenance and system upgrades.


  • Assist in the review of system design considering changes in occupier requirements and thus make proposals for necessary amendments.


  • Assist in the recording of all interfaces to new installations of networks, electronic security systems, and fire alarm systems.


  • Assist in "minor works" alterations to the existing system networks, electronic security systems and fire alarm systems as required.


  • Assist "major works" alterations to the existing system networks, electronic security systems and fire alarm systems as required.


  • Assist the auditing of maintenance contractors, specialist sub-contractors as required.


  • Assist technical services managers with regards to fit-out procedures for the fire alarms and security system interfacing.


  • Assist in the management, inspection and log all new network wiring for the use of security systems and systems networking., Systems installation and operational knowledge or awareness

  • Access control system installation / maintenance.

  • CCTV system installation / maintenance.

  • Intercom system installation / maintenance.

  • Electronic security systems network installation / maintenance.

  • Vehicle barrier & speed lane installation / maintenance

  • Fire alarm system installation / maintenance.

  • Voice alarm system installation / maintenance.

  • Emergency communications installation / maintenance.


  • Key systems equipment knowledge or awareness
  • Access control - Sateon system.

  • Access control - gallagher system.

  • CCTV - Avigilon system.

  • CCTV - Hanwha system.

  • Fire alarm - advanced electronics system.
