Full Job Description

We are currently recruiting to our Lancaster and Morecambe Short Breaks Service. We are looking for a Caring and reliable Team manager to work within the Lancaster and Morecambe Short Breaks Service based in Torrisholme. We are looking for a Team Manager with person centred values who would like to make a difference to the people we support focusing on positive outcomes.

Lancaster and Morecambe short breaks is a respite service for adults with learning disabilities offering six bedrooms for long, short term and emergency respite. Supporting carers for a break in care and seen as a holiday for Guests. The team manager will need to be flexible around the rota supporting the staff team, working bank holidays, weekend work and on-call duties on a rota basis.
We provide all the required training to ensure you get the most from your role, with qualifications on offer it's a great opportunity to progress in this service and turn it into a career.

Empathy & Resilience - you will have an understanding of the challenges the people we support deal with which means an empathic nature is of upmost importance - you will need bags of motivation and be able to keep going even on the more difficult days - the needs of our service users can be complex and you may face challenging behaviour but your determination and dedication to excellent care will make it feel easy - it is essential that you are able to communicate clearly and effectively with every individual providing reassurance and positivity.
