Full Job Description

At Sir William Perkins's School we are committed to providing an environment where students can excel in their sporting and academic pursuits. We are currently looking to appoint an inspiring Teacher of PE to work within our thriving department. You will be responsible for the delivery of academic PE and will actively contribute to the co-curricular sport offer. The ability to teach PE at GCSE and A Level is essential.

The Physical Education department consists of four full-time and three part-time members of teaching staff who work alongside an excellent team of Sports Coaches. The department is housed in a purpose-built Sports facility consisting of a Sports Hall, Fitness Suite, Dance Studio, three Netball Courts, a training-sized Hockey Astro and a large Sports Field. We also utilise River Bourne Health Club in Chertsey to support our Physical Education Programme.

All students are timetabled for Physical Education and the school offers sports scholarships to elite sports students at both Year 7 and Year 12.

The School has a strong House System and sport features highly in this programme of events, including the Annual Sports Day as well as Inter House competitions.

A broad and balanced Physical Education co-curricular programme is on offer including clubs in netball, hockey, rowing, badminton, tennis, football, gymnastics, dance, trampolining, athletics and Pilates. In addition, we offer exciting holiday camps for both netball and hockey.

If you are a Teacher of PE with a real passion for Physical Education and your teaching we would love to hear from you.
