Cwmbran High School are seeking to employ an outstanding, energetic and enthusiastic Expressive Arts/ Pedagogical Leader to commence September 2024.

The successful candidate would possess a degree in Expressive arts/drama based subject, or equivalent. They must also have thorough knowledge of developments in the teaching of drama and expressive arts; exceptional understanding and awareness of a range of high-quality teaching and learning styles and be an excellent classroom practitioner.

The successful candidate will possess a clear understanding of current educational changes in Wales and recognise the opportunities the new Curriculum for Wales enables.

It is desirable that the candidate has recent experience of teaching and leading a drama based subject and has competently led a subject in the last 3 years with outstanding outcomes, however not imperative.

It is vital that you possess an excellent understanding of strategies for raising standards and pupil progress and recognise that pupil achievement across a faculty stems from inspirational leadership., Applications may be submitted in Welsh, and an application submitted in Welsh will not be treated less favourably than an application submitted in English.
