Teacher - Maths (Part Time, 0.8 FTE)

This is a Part-Time role: 29.6 hours per week.,

• Plan, prepare and develop schemes of work, session plans, teaching and learning resources, learning and assessment plans.


• Deliver and assess essential knowledge and understanding to learners.


• Motivate and inspire students to achieve targets and develop their skills to enable progression.


• Develop and strengthen relationships with learners and provide support to ensure successful outcomes.


• Use and promote restorative practice approaches.
  
  The School of Travel, Food and Drink offers a variety of courses to over 450 students, ranging from entry-level 3 to extended diplomas and Apprenticeships. Maths and English are integral to our course offerings, with the majority of students working towards a grade 4 in one or both options., Holds a L5 Teaching Qualification (eg. Cert Ed, PGCE) or willing to work towards.


• Relevant highest level vocational qualification or degree in teaching subject.


• Relevant up to date subject knowledge and recent delivery in the Further Education or school sector.


• Experience of setting appropriate SMART targets to ensure progression of learners.


• Knowledge of current teaching practices and experience of utilising a range of teaching practices to enhance the learning journey and learner progression.


• Ability to inspire and motivate learners to achieve their optimum.
