Full Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Sustainability Executive to join our team and drive our commitment to environmental and social responsibility. The successful candidate will support the Sustainability Team on an exciting programme of work delivering on sustainability targets within a busy, fast paced production environment. By building and nurturing relationships with key internal and WPP stakeholders the candidate will ensure we are proactively driving sustainable production processes that are actively aligned with group targets.

The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication and organisational skills, combined with a passion for social and environmental impact driving positive change. If you are enthusiastic about making a meaningful contribution to both the people and planet, we would love to hear from you. An interest in working in a production environment, supporting content creation would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

Research and Educate

  • Support the team in creating internal communication assets that are shared across teams.

  • Keep up to date with external developments within sustainability.

  • Research and recommend innovative technologies, strategies and initiatives that contribute to sustainable practices, keeping the organisation at the forefront of environmental stewardship.


  • Connect and Drive
  • Coordinate regular Sustainability Team meetings, document discussion points, follow up on actions.

  • Contribute to new processes for sustainable production and asset workflow.

  • Coordinate production and data teams in tracking and analysing carbon emission data.

  • Contribute to a safe, environmentally conscious culture within a busy production environment.

  • Collaborate with various departments to integrate eco-friendly initiatives.

  • Oversee the implementation of sustainable policies and practices across various departments, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.

  • Plan and deliver projects that increase awareness and understanding of sustainable living

  • Support on London office sustainability initiatives and events

  • Research, propose and drive sustainable practices within London office spaces


  • Reporting lines and key stakeholders

    This role reports to the UK Productions Operations Director.

  • A passion for sustainability, ideally an education/experience in the area.

  • An interest in working in a production environment, supporting content creation would be beneficial.

  • Natural organisational skills and experience of working with Microsoft software.

  • A people person that can bring people together and support leaders.
