Full Job Description

  • Working Mon - Thursday 9:30am - 1:30pm. We are looking for a housing management support worker who will work alongside the support coordinator and health coach based on site.

  • The role involves supporting a mixture of single mental health customers and families. Supporting customers with all tenant-related issues.

  • The support will include benefit applications, reviews, budgeting, health and safety defect checks, raising maintenance requests, and general office administration.

  • To work alongside clients, families, children, and young people (as appropriate) in a person-centered way and help them actively move towards living independently of services.

  • To assist clients, families, children, and young people (as appropriate) with practical tasks based upon their needs and aspirations as identified in their support and safety plan. To provide flexible support to clients, families, children, and young people (as appropriate) based on their needs and aspirations as identified in their support and safety plan, ensuring they are able to meet their goals, which help them achieve their outcomes.

  • To implement the client/family support and safety plan, as developed by the support coordinator, and to inform and contribute to support planning reviews and assessments through effective communication with the coordinator, line manager, and client.

    Previous experience of providing support for vulnerable people.


  • Knowledge of housing issues affecting vulnerable people


  • Experience of housing management duties in a residential setting is desirable


  • Evidence of specialist qualification, skill, or interest in the area applied for, including specific qualification / training to meet specialist service standards to meet regulatory requirements Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.


  • Ability to motivate, encourage and support clients, families, children and young people (as appropriate) in developing daily living skills.


  • Ability to demonstrate empathy while maintaining appropriate boundaries.


  • Ability to cope with challenging behavior or resistance in others

  • Ability to recognise risk and implement safeguarding procedures and reporting where necessary


  • Ability to work independently and to recognise when advice, support and more senior input are required/necessary


  • Ability to record and use information concisely and effectively.


  • Basic numeric, literacy and IT skills


  • Must have a Minimum 6 months of Experience in UK Healthcare as a Healthcare worker
    Current Care Mandatory certification online and Practical Manual Handling

    - Must have DBS on Update Service

    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills ability to work well in a team environment
