Full Job Description

As a Support Worker, you'll provide a high level of support to a gentleman with an Acquired Brain Injury in his rural cottage near Sherborne.

In this varied role, you'll help the client to live his day-to-day life to the fullest.

Your duties will include care and support, personal care, driving, cooking, dog care. support to access hydrotherapy and complete antique restoration business tasks.

About You While no experience is required, to be considered, you'll need:

- A full, clean driving licence

- Great communication skills

- A positive attitude

Ideally, you'll have previous experience as a Support Worker, but this isn't essential.

  • 1x 12 hour/ wk fixed term contract while providing additional annual leave and sickness cover as required. This role could become permanent following the client's house move.

  • 1x bank/ zero hours permanent contract- providing on call and additional annual leave and sickness cover as required.

  • Both roles may also provide an on-call service for 12hour sessions to provide first response sickness cover- normal pay rates apply to all 'called in' shifts.


    • Hourly rates are as follows:

    Day support: £11.55-£13.20 per hour

    On call: £25 per 12hour shift
