Full Job Description

Radis Community Care are looking for a part time Support Worker to join out team at Saxon House, Loddon. You will need to be available for morning shifts 07:00 - 14:30 , late shifts 14:30 - 22:00 and alternative weekends.

Hours available: Weekends only!

Saxon House has 37 apartments designed to help local residents to retain as much independence and control over their lives as possible., As a Support Worker in our Extra Care Scheme you will be predominately supporting the elderly who are finding it difficult to cope due to physical frailty, enabling them to maintain independence. The role involves aiding residents with restricted mobility to move to dining areas at meal times, communal areas for social activities and to the privacy of their bedrooms at their request. For those residents who need support, our care workers strive to help them to retain as much independence as possible, for as long as possible. Care is tailored to the needs of each person, provided within their own apartment and can range from a little help daily to support throughout the day and night time.

The role will require you to assist residents with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene and dressing. You will have the opportunity to take part in physical and mental stimulation by taking part in recreational and social activities with residents, both individually and as a group.

The role is to promote resident's independence, choice, dignity and respect by delivering the best standards of care.
