Support Worker

We are looking for an experienced Support Worker to support young people within our Supported Accommodation Settings. The primary objective is to enable our young people to become emotionally stable and self-sufficient in order to live independently in the society. You will be supporting our young people on Education, Health, Employment & Training, Immigration and Asylum, Benefits and Support Networks. These also involve teaching them Practical and Useful Life skills such as cleaning, cooking, budgeting, shopping, healthcare and personal hygiene. You will be required to attend Placement meetings and reviews.

We will be looking for candidates that have strong work ethic. This must include the following skills:

Minimum of NVQ Level 3 or 4
Team worker
Excellent verbal and written communication
IT literate (word)
An organised and systematic approach to work with the ability to keep accurate and appropriate records
Able to work flexibly to meet key objectives and willingness to comply with procedures and management requests.
Must be available for work minimum of 2 days live-in
Ability to keep calm when met with challenging behaviour.
Ability to escort young people for appointments
Ability to clean and maintain the cleaning standard of the house.
