Full Job Description

Connected Voice is looking for a Support and Development Officer. This is a rewarding role and will involve making a positive difference to voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations. This will be by providing free advice and support to organisations based or operating in Gateshead and Newcastle.

You will support our local voluntary and community organisations on all aspects of development, including advice and guidance on funding, good governance, and getting the right organisation structure. You will help to deliver our premium (charged for) services. In particular you will support operational and strategic reviews of VCSE organistions and the delivery of tailored training courses in Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, Cultural Competency and Bias Awareness (full training will be given).

You will establish, support and facilitate networks and partnerships for VCSE organisations to have a voice and be represented in order to shape and influence local strategic priorities through local conversations, supporting locality, neighbourhood and area-based project development particularly, but not solely, in Gateshead

You will have a good understanding of the VCSE sector, particularly small to medium-sized organisations, as well as experience of delivering training and facilitating groups and networks. Your attitude, enthusiasm and work ethics are as important to us as experience, and training will be provided where necessary.
