Supply Chain Partner

These goals matter most to our stakeholders and are where we believe we can have the greatest impact towards a better future., We are looking for an experienced Supply Chain professional to join our small but busy Commercial team. Reporting to the Head of Commercial (UK Region), You will be integral in helping to maintain a sustainable Supply Chain and managing all matters relating to procurement for packages of work and consultancy services including, but not limited to: engaging with suppliers to build and maintain strong relationships, running open and fair competitions, providing prompt and timely feedback to suppliers, and ensuring adherence with requirements and regulations including single source contract regulations.

Working closely with the Supply Chain Lead, the Commercial team, Capability Managers and Project Managers to proactively manage the relationships with suppliers and the procurement activities to ensure supplier performance. Provide support and assistance for the preparation of submissions, and clarification issues to the required standards and deadlines. Maintain procurement and supply chain records and assist in ensuring that all the company knowledge, information, records and report are maintained and effective in relation to all our subcontracts and subcontractors.

The successful individual will be:

• Relevant and demonstrable experience in a supply chain or procurement related role, ideally within a Defence or Aerospace contracting environment:



• CIPS Level 3 or equivalent commercial experience;



• Highly numerate with a strong attention to detail;



• Effective communication skills, with the ability to use different communication approaches to engage with stakeholders;



• Ability to perform effectively when working as part of a team or when acting independently with support from the Supply Chain Lead and the wider commercial team;



• Basic understanding of the implications of contractual clauses relating to IPR, ITAR, government transparency requirements and security;



• Self-motivated, well organised and uses a methodical approach to their work;



• Flexible, adaptable, and have a genuine enthusiasm to contribute to the growth of a business.

This role will be based at Bath/Home (hybrid working), with travel to BMT offices as required. This a permanent, full-time position. Salary will be based on experience.
