Summer Placement - R&D Engineer

Working in the Innovation team, you will be involved in the following:

• Analyse large datasets to identify patterns and trends in motor performance data and compare with simulation.


• Use data visualisation tools to communicate insights and findings to the team.


• Work closely with the rest of the innovation team to help inform product development.


• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code mostly in Python.
  
  We are looking for highly motivated university students with a clear passion for engineering and innovative technology, keen to gain skills and knowledge in a fast-paced, design and manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a desire to work in data science, experience working with Python, and an interest in electric motors and cutting-edge technology., We are looking for interns to join the team for 3 months over the summer to gain real-world, hands-on experience within our exciting, market-leading company. The successful candidates will work as part of dedicated teams on long and short-term self-contained projects and will be mentored throughout their work. You will have the freedom to innovate and develop solutions to real challenges. It is likely that successful candidates will come from an engineering or hard science background and be able to demonstrate a hands-on, practical ability.


The team's tasks commonly involve working with large datasets, analysing motor performance data to help drive product innovation.,
• Experience with software development, preferably in Python including relevant libraries and frameworks.


• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program in computer science, data science, engineering, or a related field. Ideally in your penultimate year of study.


• An interest in data science and data analysis.


• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.


• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.


• Good initiative, with the ability to manage own time and priorities
