Are you looking for Summer work this year whilst still enjoying being outdoors? MDL Marinas are recruiting Summer Marina Assistants for work between April and September 2024 (inclusive) read on to find out more.

Various hours of work and shifts available (casual and fixed working patterns) including weekends and bank holidays to suit almost every applicant's needs.

We are looking to engage several Summer Marina Assistants across our East Coast Marinas to join our friendly team providing additional support during our busiest operating months, including:

- Chatham Maritime Marina

As a Summer Marina Assistant, you will be delivering exceptional customer service to all our berth holders, tenants, and visitors. This role is mostly based outdoors, and you will assist our Marina Managers and Operatives with their day to day duties.

The role will include but not limited to:

Ø Welcome visitors by road and boat, greeting them with high standards of service.

Ø Walk the marina pontoons and surrounding areas, assisting customers where needed.

Ø Dealing with customer queries.

Ø Answering the office telephone, greeting customers and assisting with serving in the marina office.

Ø Check car parks and drop off points ensuring everything is clean, signage is visible, and trolleys are available.

Ø Provide a trolley service with assistance to and from vessel when requested.

Ø Prepare the marina each day ensuring leaflet carousels are stocked.

Ø To assist with serving fuel when required.

Ø Enthusiastic and friendly with a flexible and positive 'can do' attitude

Ø An ability to deliver the highest standards of customer service

Ø Self-motivated and able to work without supervision

Ø Confident use of IT systems (minimum beginner level)

Ø A practical, resourceful and common-sense approach

Ø Good practical boating skills (not essential but an advantage, training will be provided)

Ø Competent swimmer (essential)
