Are you passionate about improving social work practice and enhancing workforce development? We're seeking a dedicated Strategic Practice Lead to lead regional initiatives that empower staff across local authorities and the wider system.

This position involves addressing barriers and improving outcomes in pre-proceedings and care proceedings. Here's a summary of the key responsibilities:

Strategic and Operational Leadership:

Take a lead role in addressing barriers affecting timeliness and outcomes in pre-proceedings and care proceedings.

Drive existing action plans across local authorities, focusing on reducing delays in pre-proceedings and proceedings.

Decision-Making and Vulnerable Children

Understand and address barriers to clear and timely decision-making for vulnerable children in care proceedings and pre-proceedings.

Family Engagement:

Directly engage with families to gather their views and experiences, informing workforce development and enhancing co-production and co-design.

Best Practices and Consistency:

Support regional local authorities and partners in adopting best practices and ensuring consistency in practice across the system.

Resource Development:

Develop a pooled repository of resources to promote consistency across the region.

Line Management:

Manage the Practice Lead and Participation Lead, ensuring coordinated activity and effective project delivery., Note: Applicants appointed to posts that require an enhanced DBS clearance must declare any periods of time that they have lived, studied or worked abroad and be prepared to provide an Overseas Criminal Records Certificate (OCRC) or a Statement of Good Conduct (SOGC) relating to anytime they were overseas
