Full Job Description

After a recent $81M funding round (Series E), our sales team is growing at InfluxData and we're looking for our next Strategic Account Executive for our EMEA region! If sales is in your blood and you have a track record of closing new business in the Enterprise segment, read on.

You'll be responsible for closing transactions as well as generating pipeline for our business with large sized organizations across EMEA. Success for this role is defined by meeting quarterly and annual quota targets focused exclusively on net new logos. We're a growing team and company and with that growth there is constant movement and change, so the ability to jump in and learn quickly is key.

What you'll be doing:

  • Prospecting along side your assigned SDR into large-sized prospective companies

  • Developing a deep understanding of customer's business and how time-series data solutions could benefit them across IIoT, Real Time Analytics and Infrastructure Monitoring use cases

  • Strategically prospecting using Outreach, LinkedIn and calling into CTOs, CDOs, Engineering/Data Leaders, & technical end users in our open source install base and net new prospects

  • Executing a complex sales process through POCs and Pilots

  • Ensuring high forecasting accuracy and consistency

    5+ Years Enterprise field sales experience

  • Top 10% performer against $1M+ new business quotas

  • Ability to articulate the business value and ROI of complex enterprise technology

  • Experience working for an emerging (startup) tech company

  • Sold into large Fortune 500 companies and a strong builder of champions

  • Demonstrated ability to win new logos from outbound PG efforts - this is not an account management role

  • Have sold new logo deal sizes at >$150k

  • Previous Sales Methodology training (e.g. MEDDIC, SPIN, Challenger Sales)


  • It's a plus if you have:
  • Command of the Message experience

  • Relevant Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

  • Experience selling open source software

  • Experience in database / data analytics / data warehouse technologies such as Snowflake, Databricks, Pinot, MongoDB, CockroachDB, Starburst, Clickhouse
