Full Job Description

Supporting the Stores Supervisor and reporting to the Supply Chain Manager for all Stores and general activities as follows

  • Picking, packing, and despatching all delivery notes by the most effective method.

  • Processing of all incoming deliveries, including checking, labelling, moving to appropriate locations

  • Quality checking of incoming goods, following QA procedures

  • Quality checking of all Radleys manufactured glassware, following QA procedures

  • Picking necessary components for all Production & Purchasing Works Orders

  • Replenishment of Production kanban stock

  • Completing appropriate shipping consignment notes depending on which carrier is being used.

  • Using specialised lifting/handling equipment such as electric Pallet Truck and Trolley.

  • Carrying out regular stock checks

  • General housekeeping, including the general management of stock i.e., moving stock to a more suitable location if required and general tidiness.

  • Dealing with security and safety of all buildings, including locking up, alarm & fire detection testing

  • Ensuring that there is a constant supply of packaging materials.

  • Cover in providing general Building Maintenance (inside and outside of buildings) as required.

  • Assisting with the assembly, packaging, and labelling of internally manufactured products.

  • Checking 'project' systems are complete.

  • Dealing with all post being sent out by the company and completing appropriate dockets.

  • Working with the Stores team to proactively improve the Warehouse systems and procedures.

  • Driving company vehicles to carry out any deliveries or collections if required.

  • Be prepared to carry out any other general duties if required to ensure the smooth running of Stores and the company in general.

    Basic computer skills i.e. Outlook, Word

  • Full clean driving license (no specialist license is required, e.g. HGV etc.)

  • Ideally experience in a warehouse environment, though not essential

  • Experience in a Quality Assurance environment, though not essential, This is a physical role requiring the lifting and moving of sometimes heavy items and regular use of the stairs. Therefore you will be required to be in good health to undertake this role

  • Good time keeper and reliable

  • Adaptable and willing to learn new skills

  • Pleasant & positive manner, to be able to communicate with internal personnel and outside carriers

  • Willing to get 'stuck in' at all levels and to undertake whatever is required to complete the job

  • Tidy and methodical with an attention to detail

  • Enthusiasm and perseverance with a positive 'can do' attitude
