Full Job Description

Tekhniseal refurbishes, designs, and manufactures mechanical seals, tailored to suit exact customer requirements. The successful candidate for this role will work as part of our small, close-knit team in our workshop, working to manage our stores. You will be responsible for the day to day organisation of the businesses' stores of mechanical seals, ensuring that stock levels are managed and monitored. The job is a very varied role within the stores department, with no two days the exact same.,

  • To manage the stores

  • Stock recording, both by hand and via a computer

  • Stock taking

  • Purchase reordering

  • Preparing customer stock orders for approval

  • Adhering to Goods Inwards procedures, receiving any goods and stock shipments

  • Adhering to procedures relating to the proper use and care of equipment and materials for which the role has responsibility

  • Adhering to stated policies and procedures relating to health and safety, and quality management

  • Picking, packing, and dispatching of daily orders

  • Ordering of packing materials

  • Arranging couriers for order collections

  • Answering the telephone and taking orders

  • Taking customer orders

  • Assisting customers who come to our Trade Counter

  • Assisting other members of the team as necessary

  • Any ad-hoc tasks as necessary

    Ability to interpret instruction and any issues that arise, implement actions according to administrative policies, and procedures

  • Exemplary organisational skills

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

  • The ideal candidate will also possess
  • An engineering background

  • A high attention to detail

  • Problem solving attitude

  • Computer literacy, including experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and using databases

  • A good telephone manner

  • The ability to work well as part of a team, as well as independently

  • A strong initiative

  • Problem solving skills, and the ability to be methodical

    Full time/permanent

  • Working hours: Monday - Friday, 8.30-4.30

  • 45min lunch break

  • £22.5k-23.5k - Negotiable, depending on experience.

  • 21 days holiday + bank holidays
