Full Job Description

Based at the MOD Abbey Wood, Bristol, working primarily in a storeroom environment, we are looking for a full time, versatile and customer focused Stores Administrator, to provide first class service. The post holder will be versatile in controlling stored items to ensure optimum availability to the customer on site. Training can be provided, where appropriate

The successful candidate is required to be well-organised, precise, confident with credible communication skills readily able and willing to contribute at all levels. In addition, the individual will be versatile, intuitive, and professional with good judgement and absolute integrity. Proactive and persuasive when required and responsive to changing needs of the business and demands of the customer, while remaining calm under pressure and self-motivated, the incumbent will be reliable and well presented, giving a positive image of MITIE company values. In addition, the following is needed:

Proven experience of working in a warehouse/store's environment.

IT literate with a good working knowledge of MS Office applications.

Conversant/knowledge of MOD Management of the Joint Deployed Inventory (MJDI) stores accounting applications (Desirable, training can be provided). UAA or MAA trained highly desirable as would be experience on building new Inventory.

Holds a Full UK Driving Licence and Forklift Licence (Forklift training can be provided).

Additional Information

MOD security clearance and DBS Standards are required. To meet national security vetting requirements, you will normally need to have been resident in the UK for at least 3 years to gain a Counter Terrorist Check, 5 years for Security Clearance and 10 years for Developed Vetting prior to the date of application. All Developed Vetted posts are required to be UK Nationals.

The Contract operates a 37.5-hour working week.

Required to wear approved company work wear.

Hold a full UK driving license.
