Full Job Description
- Receive deliveries, inspecting for quality and quantity, and ensuring accuracy with orders placed.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and management regarding stock levels and requirements.
- Ensuring health and safety regulations are adhered to
- Organise and maintain storage areas, ensuring proper storage of perishable and non-perishable items.
- Supervising a small team
Are you looking for reliable agency work? We are looking for an experienced stores person to join our clients team in a busy kitchen within a secure unit!, This role would suit a candidate that is capable of dealing with physical tasks, whilst being a good communicator and working well under pressure.
The role involves working beside the main kitchen team with organisation and stock management.
You'll be required to work an average of 37 hours per week on a weekly rota, with alternate weekends off. There are no late shifts, as the latest finish is 6 pm. Shifts vary slightly but are usually 8am-5pm.
This role is available on a temporary basis, but is ongoing work on the Isle of Sheppey. Start date is immediate, but you will need to undergo a security clearance., In return, you can expect a basic pay rate of £14.50ph Monday to Friday, £18.00ph Saturdays and £20.50ph Sundays. You'll also accrue holiday pay on top of these rates, be paid weekly and have the option of joining a company pension scheme.
