Full Job Description
This is an excellent opportunity for a Stock Controller to join an established engineering company which operates in a wide range of industries including aerospace and defence.
Reporting to the Production Manager, the primary responsibility of this role is to manage goods inwards and outwards, and movement of stock within the factory. The successful candidate should have good communication skills, problem-solving skills, and team working skills. They should be able to work as part of a team to share ideas and support continuous improvement activities.
The role:
- Control of all goods inwards and goods outwards functions
- Checking material certifications and all paperwork is correct
- Issuing material to the factory as requested by production
- Organisation of stock and ongoing continued stock counts
- Keeping account of all consumable items and advising purchasing when
- Interacting with production staff on daily priorities and issues
- Ensure all stock movements are accurately recorded
- Reporting on late deliveries
- Controlling of all site recycling and waste removal
- Use of forklifts and pallet trucks
- Supervision of 1 member of staff currently
- Packing of parts to prevent corrosion and damage in transit
- Maybe required to deliver goods locally
- Ensuring that all activities are fully compliant with current health, safety, and

Previous experience in stock control is necessary. - Computer literate and experience with stock control systems
- Fork lift experience preferred but not essential as training will be given
