Full Job Description

  • Assist in planning and delivering engaging sports coaching sessions for primary school students

  • Provide guidance and support to children during physical activities, ensuring their safety and well-being

  • Promote teamwork, sportsmanship and fair play among students

  • Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback

  • Help organise and supervise sports events, competitions and extracurricular activities

  • Collaborate with teachers, parents and school staff to ensure effective communication and coordination, Sports Coach Level 4 qualification

  • Functional skills maths and English, if required.


  • Our bespoke training programmes are delivered within the workplace by experienced tutors through a blend of online learning and face to face assessment visits.

    Your training and lessons will take place at the workplace and on school sites so you receive real life experience. Your lessons will take place once a week and specified by your tutor.

    BTEC or equivalent Sports (Grade Merit) Desired, Football Icon Academy are teaming up with Story group to recruit an enthusiastic sports coach apprentice. The successful candidate will become a key member of the school sports team. Delivering lunch clubs, after school clubs, covering PE lessons, delivering on Holiday camps and our evening development centres. Owner, Adam Cash has several years of experience playing the game and is taking huge action in developing boys and girls of all ages and abilities. Our programmes and coaching methods are designed to build players confidence and to improve individuals ball control. We work with children aged 4-18 years old and have a number of different programmes to help develop boys and girls of all abilities. We currently have a number of development centres in the South East of the UK and work in schools day to day. Our coaching team are all DBS checked and are Level 2 or above FA Qualified., Sports coach
