Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Repton Prep for a Sports Administrator to provide efficient administrative support to the Sports Department. The successful candidate will be required to provide efficient administrative support to the Sports Department in the organisation and oversight of fixtures, bookings, communication, team sheets and other areas pertaining to the sporting programme.

Main Responsibilities

  • To work alongside the Sports Department to ensure the effective and efficient day-to-day running of the Sports programme at Repton Prep

  • To use school management systems (iSAMS, SOCS, Teams, Microsoft Office, etc.) to ensure effective and timely communications regarding the sporting fixtures programme

  • To support the Heads of Sport and Director of Sport in organising the fixtures programme in terms of locations, transport bookings, posting results, and ensuring timely communication with parents and staff

  • To be responsible for entering all National/Regional/County competitions across the sporting calendar

  • To manage the termly booking of sports facilities by liaising with Repton Senior School and outside venues

  • To attend departmental meetings and assist with the ordering of Sports equipment

  • To assist with the organisation of Sports Days, Sports dinners and tournaments

  • To support the Director of Sport to identify and develop objectives, plans and strategies to maximise the efficient use of the department's resources

  • Organise all transportation pertaining to the sports programme

  • Knowledge of child protection guidelines and procedures

  • Communicate in an honest, open, positive, supportive and friendly manner

  • Communicate effectively with other team members, the Sports Department, wider school staff, parents and guardians

    Relevant Prior Experience
  • Experience of working with Children and Young People

  • Strong IT skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office and Teams

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Some relevant experience in a school environment/school database would be advantageous

  • Full driving licence
