Full Job Description

We're looking for a Psychological Therapist to join a new, innovative 2-year pilot service, T1DE, for patients with type 1 diabetes and disordered eating.

The T1DE service will provide integrated assessment and treatment for patients with T1DE and is staffed by a multidisciplinary team of specialists in both eating disorders and diabetes. It will pioneer innovative approaches to treatment and aim to be as accessible as possible to a group of patients who are often hard to reach.

The service is based within the Warwick Clinic for Eating Disorders and Diabetes, which was established in 2011 as the first specialist service in the country for this group of patients and forms part of the Coventry and Warwickshire Eating Disorders Service.

If you have experience in the assessment and treatment of eating disorders, this is an exciting opportunity to apply your skills and expertise to improve the lives of people with T1DE and help to shape a developing service along the way., You will be responsible for clinical assessment, including assessment and monitoring of risk and formulation, and the provision of individual therapeutic interventions. You'll also provide advice to other agencies around teaching and training, service audit/evaluation, and offer guidance on relevant projects.

At Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust (CWPT), we deliver a wide range of physical, mental health, learning disability and autism services, and are proud to serve communities across Coventry, Warwickshire and beyond.
