Full Job Description

The Specialist Pharmacist Digital Medicines will work as part of a dynamic Chief Clinical Information Officer team. The postholder will have an understanding of digital systems and will support the Digital Clinical Leads and Transformation Specialists with efficient and effective management of the on-going EPR development, education, implementation and training of our NGH EPR. The role is responsible for facilitating digital transformation for new digital solutions and upgrades to existing digital solutions across NGH with clear collaboration with internal and external stakeholders as required., The role is responsible for operating as a key member of the Chief Clinical Information Officer portfolio which focuses on ensuring there is clinical engagement at all levels of the Group Digital Strategy. The postholder will work with Digital Clinical Leads, Pharmacy Technician Digital Medicines, Pharmacy EPMA team, Digital Clinical Facilitators and Transformation Specialists by contributing to improving standards of care through the effective use of digital solutions.

The Specialist Pharmacist Digital Medicines will provide specialist pharmaceutical knowledge for the development of the NGH EPR and other Digital Medicines projects.

The Specialist Pharmacist Digital Medicines will work with pharmacy colleagues and other healthcare professional groups to improve patient care by participating in audits, research and benefits realisation data collection, analysis and subsequent improvements to our processes. They will work with our existing EPMA team to specifically focus on the Digital Medicines agenda and the configuration, build and testing of the future EPMA solution. They will deputise for the Digital Clinical Lead for Digital Medicines.
