Specialist Paediatric Dietitian

Clinical duties will include: Assessments of children and young people admitted to the children's ward including patients with conditions such as faltering growth, enterally feeding, eating disorders, iron deficiency anaemia, neurodisability, multiple allergies, Inflammatory bowel disesase, cystic fibrosis and inherited metabolic conditions Delivering ward training sessions Assessments of growth and nutritional needs and modifications of feeding regimes to meet requirements Joint home visits/assessments with speech and language therapy colleagues and home enteral feeding nurses to children with complex needs Supporting families with the provision of blended diet in the home and school environment Liaising with schools and education to support a childs nutritional needs in school Working alongside a wider MDT team to meet a childs needs Provision of a regular general paediatric dietetic outpatient clinic Provision of a regular clinic for children with complex and specialist needs As
